King Saud University Visit – faculty of Architecture

On Thursday 14th April 2016, ANM in collaboration with Arriyadh Development Authority (ADA), hosted a delegation from the King Saud University – Faculty of Architecture comprising two professors and twenty vibrant students at 3E2 Station, Qasar Al-Hokm, the iconic station designed by the renowned Snøhetta architecture office from Norway.
The encounter was designed as an opportunity to share with the university delegation insights, from the Riyadh Metro project experience, into envisioning, designing, developing and maintaining a world-class city. The students were engaged and excited throughout the visit and asked many questions to ANM staff enjoying being immersed in such an incredible project, an opportunity they do not come across in their day-to-day lives.

Qasar Al-Hokm – This new, landmark station will help transform Riyadh city centre in a family-friendly space with its urban plaza and unique canopy. An impressive shiny mirror will reflects the sky and the city’s skyline inwards into the train station below ground and the spectacular gardens and train streams outwards into the plaza.
