World Environment Day is the biggest annual event for positive environmental action.
It takes every 5 June.
World Environment Day is the United Nations’ flagship day for encouraging worldwide awareness and action for the environment. Over the years, it has grown to be one of the largest global platforms for public outreach celebrated by over a million people in well over 100 countries.
The theme for World Environment Day 2017 is “Connect People to Nature”. That means implores us to get outdoors and into nature, to appreciate its beauty and its importance, and to take forward the call to protect the Earth that we share.
Every year.
